Intel’s Funky Check-out


Intel is learning a few tricks from Apple: design counts. The company is introducing sleek new self-serve check-out terminals. The kiosks work with the customer’s RFID loyalty card and provides in-store incentives and recommendations. One key feature is they use 90% less energy than standard cash registers. has been a prominent goal for Intel - and this is another manifestation of their research. The product manager for Intel’s Embedded Computing Division says that the kiosk was designed to show the future, “And people don’t like looking at motherboards
